Daily Fantasy Sports – It’s Big Business
I wrote a piece about Daily Fantasy Sports for the Irish Times this week, published Wednesday April 29th 2015. Spoke to a lot of people for this one. And, pleasingly, those nice editor people included a big photo of Statto.
With daily payouts DFS is a huge growth area in the US but can it be expected to take hold of Europe in the same way considering we have quick, easy access to online sports betting? Not that I’m saying Daily Fantasy Sports is some sort of sports gambling trojan horse in the US. Heaven forbid.

There were over 40 million fantasy sports participants in the US in 2014, with Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) the fastest-growing sector. Instead of choosing players and managing that team over an entire season DFS games are compressed into considerably shorter engagement times – with big money to be won.
